Berklie's 6 month check up

Berklie had her 6 month check up today. She is growing right on schedule and is a healthy bitty girl. Dr. London said that she has excellent and very advance motor skills. I thought that was good, and I told her that my mom said I am going to get my payback. She thought that was pretty funny. Berklie did great with her shots - we had the good nurse. Thankfully we did not have the nurse that we had last time - that was not a good experience. The first two shots she didn't cry, then on the third one she cried a little, but when I picked her up she stopped crying instantly. I love the good nurse!!!! Then she pricked her finger for a cbc test to check for anemia. Berklie didn't like it at all, yet she barely cried for that, too. The nurse did call me back on our way home to let me know that Berklie's white blood cell count was elevated a little, but she thought it was due to them fighting off an infection. They are going to check her again when we go back in a month for her flu booster. Hopefully, everything turns out ok. Please say some prayers for her. Other than that, everything looks great! We are so blessed!

Her are Berklie's 6 month stats -
As you can tell we have a healthy bitty girl!

27 1/4 in. - 90 percentile
16.85 lbs - 70 percentile
head circumference - 60 percentile

Tagged - thanks, Kristin.

Here's the deal:

*Go to the place on your computer where you store all your pictures and open the 4th folder.
*Open the 4th picture.
*Post the picture and give an explanation of what it is.
*Tag 4 people.
*DO NOT CHEAT!! You cannot edit or crop the picture!!

This is my 4th folder, fourth picture. The explanation - this is a girl that I took senior portraits of last year. This is one that she chose, but she had some others that were really cute! This one turned out pretty good though! I wish it would have been a picture of Berklie, but you guys see enough of her! LOL! I tag - Kelly, Barbara, Sara, and Alice Ann

Happy Anniversary My Love

Today was mine and Flint's two year anniversary. I just have to blog about how blessed I am. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, a beautiful healthy bitty girl, 4 awesome step-children, loving family, and fabulous friends!

Flint is the love of my life, and I love and cherish him with all of my heart. Not only have I been blessed with the love of my life, but he is also my best friend. He is my rock, he is the smile that brightens my day, the hands that keep me safe, and my one and only. He is my everything!

Thank you, Flint, for all that you do, all that you are, and the person who you have helped me become! I love you with all that I am! ~ Remica

I also, have to say Happy 41st Anniversary to my Mom and Dad, and Flint's parents Susan and Larry. If you all don't know the story - our parent's got married on the exact same date the exact same year! So, we got married on that exact date 39 years later - January 26, 2007! Funny how things turn out! Below are some pictures of Flint and I.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures of us.

I like this - we both have natural smiles on.

Our wedding day and the entire wedding party.

I love this one.

Feeding me cake at the wedding.

This is right before we went into have Berklie.

Our 6 month old "Pink Cotton Candy Princess"

Here are Berklie's six month pictures. I can not believe it has been six months since she was born. It seems just like yesterday the doctor told me she wanted to induce me tomorrow - and then me almost fainting and falling off the table! It has been a wonderful and blessed six month with Berklie in our lives. She is such a joy in our house hold. It is amazing to see how she has grown, and how she has come into her own little personality. She is our one and only, our Berklie Faith, and we wouldn't trade her for the world!

We go for Berklie's 6 month check up tomorrow, so I will post her stats then.

This session didn't last too long. Even though she was a little fussy, I think there are still some really cute shots. As you can tell in most of the pictures Berklie is still teething. She is cutting her two eye teeth - yes, I am going to have a little "Pink Cotton Candy Princess Vampire Baby!"

The playlist...explanation....

I decided to put a play list on the blog for fun. Every now and again I plan on updating it with new songs and giving explanations as to why I choose the songs that I do. So, here we go...Play list #1

Song #1 - Phil Collins / In the Air Tonight I love this story! This is the song that Flint's football team came out to in high school. I thought it was so neat ... not that our"bow down" wasn't....lol. You know your "BA" when your team can come out to a song like this!

Song #2 - Low Rider / Just a little audio for the post about Berklie's new car. I guess it could be a dedication to the George Lopez show , too. Lol!

Song #3 - White Christmas / The one and only by Bing Crosby! This is one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time! No on can sing it quite like Bing.

Song #4 - U2 / I still haven't found what I'm looking for...not true in my case...I have everything I have ever dreamed of, but for those of you out there that look at my blog and still haven't found what your looking for, this can be your anthem. Not to mention it is just a great song!

Song #5 - 1, 2, 3, 4 / Coolio This song just reminds me of Alice Ann and me in junior high being complete dorks! (Alice Ann, do you still remember the dance routine to this song?) :-) Fun times!

Song #6 - I Can Only Imagine / Mercy Me Once again this is just a great song. When you're having a bad day, all you have to do is listen to this and it is sure to brighten your spirit and put a smile on your face!

So, those are my explanations to the play list. Hopefully, all the choices make sense now and you all do not think I am completely crazy....well, maybe just a little crazy!

Look at me go!

Being lazy while mama and daddy get ready for work.

Cutie pie after church.

"How's the weather up there?"

"Ummm, if I could just figure out a way to get out of this seat."

"Can you help me get out of here?"

This is her newest gymnastics move.
You should see her suck on her feet when she gets a bath.
Pretty darn funny and cute!

"I can sit up and play at the same time now!"
"Am I good or what?"

This is Berklie in her jumparoo. She is going pretty good in this one, but you should see her when she really gets it going! Good things we don't have pets - she might poke one of their eyes out!

Want to take a ride in my new set of wheels?!?!

Here are some photos of Berklie playing. She got a new ride from her Cousin Gehrig, and man is it sweet! Thanks Joseph and Jenny for the exersaucer/car, she loves it! I know it will keep her busy!

Playing after church on her mat.

She is getting pretty close to crawling....oh no!

"Low rider!"

"Hi, daddy!"

Beep-beep!

"Man, this is soooooo cool!"

"Uhm, I wonder what this does?"

Helping mama put up the dishes.
This is the highchair that is going to the babysitter's house.
Can you believe she is big enough to be in a highchair?!?!?!
I can't! In this picture she was a little mad, you can probably see a big crocodile tear.

I think she might get her driving skills from me....I know that Dad is holding his breath! Don't worry, Dad, you won't have to teach her how to drive! She can scare her own daddy! LOL!

All dressed up for church!

We went to church this morning and Berklie looked so cute, so I just had to take a picture! This was suppose to be her church dress for Christmas, but I didn't know that some Baptist Churches don't have a Christmas Eve service. The Methodist Church always did when I was growing up, so I had no clue. Oh well, she got to wear her dress today. She was quite the hit at church -the little old ladies are so funny! She did a great job too, I didn't even have to leave the sanctuary.

That is not a very nice face, Berklie Faith!
She was about to fall over. LOL!

What a cutie pie! Her poor shoes were HUGE! Can you tell?

This is an AWFUL picture of me, but she looks really cute!

Yummie! Squash!

Berklie has been eating baby food for a few weeks now. We started her a little early on them because when we put her on rice cereal it upset her belly soooo bad. I felt so sorry for her! So we started her on green beans first - she liked them, then carrots - loved them, then sweet peas - loved them even more, and now squash - see for yourself! The only fruit we have tried is bananas - she like them alright. We are going to try some pears in the morning though - I'll update afterwards! She is such a good eater - she has to be mine and Flint's baby! We love our food!

She wasn't so sure about it at first.

She preferred the table! I have been wanting a new one, so maybe after she gets through teething! LOL!

This is the picture after I said, "Berklie Faith, stop that!"
The reply in the look is...."But, mama, it feels so good!"

I am such a good girl! I love my veggies!
By the look of it I think the squash won the fight!

Just a clip of dinner. Notice after she takes a bite she starts to go in for the table!

A look at today

This is just a little look into what has been going on at the Bigham House Hold today. We have been cleaning around the house, cleaning out my closet of maternity clothes for Jenny and Barbara, and now we are about to be off to storage and to Babies-R-Us (they are having a reaslly good sale through January 19th!). Fun, fun!

Ever since Berklie started teething she likes to suck and chew on her thumb.
Look at those eyes!

Playing in her bouncy seat. She loves to swat at the toys.

Still playing. Look at how blond her hair is?! We are assuming that she gets it from mom and Flint's mom. They are both blond.

Berklie in her jumper watching Veggie Tales while mama cleans up. She is such a good girl!

All giggles!

Over the Christmas break Berklie has had a lot of milestones! I am so glad that I have been here to see them, but I have to admit....I am a little anxious to get back to work. I was starting to get a little worried, because Berklie was not laughing yet. Everyone told me it would come in time and to stop worrying, but that is a little easier said than done. So, it finally happened! Yippeeeee! It has to be the most adorable and lovely sound I have ever heard! I can't believe all the stuff that has happened over the break and how much she has changed. I am so glad we got to see and experience everything with her!

Milestones over Christmas:
1. Tooth #1
2. Sitting up by herself
3. Laughing
4. Tooth #2
5. First severe diaper rash - I am sure there are many more to come...especially with all the other teeth!

Take a look at the video and see what you think. My camera does video, too. I was so excited. Now, I just have to carry this around...not the SLR and the video camera. LOL! I have enough of Berklie's stuff to lug - I swear I feel like I am moving every time we go somewhere.

This is what Berklie does while I blog! She tried to stay awake. It is a tough life! Such a cutie patootie! I love it!

Playing around!

Flint, the kids, and Berklie got me a new camera for Christmas. I have been wanting a little one to carry with me everywhere, so that I wouldn't have to lug my big SLR around. I really like it and as you can see I have already put it to good use!

"Look, y'all, no hands!"

Playing with Justin. It is hilarious, because whenever she touches his face she lets out a squeal. It is too funny and she only does it with him!

"Give me that camera, mama."

She's becoming a pro at sitting up.

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

Playing on the couch with Daddy.

"Whoa, look at that!"

Bouncy fun!

"Wow! Mom, look at what I can do!"

How could you resist this face?

Is this adorable or what? I love it!

A little blurry but still cute!

Us acting goofy!
