She's already hooked.....

So, today I had to run to Quinlan to have a car wash with my PALs kids. Needless to say, it was really hot but they made a good amount of money. So....it was worth it. Kaytlin came to watch Berklie for me and I brought us back Sonic for lunch. I put my cup down and immediately this is what Berklie did.....

Yes, she has learned how to drink out of a straw and is quite good at it.
The cup is as big as she is!!!!!
Can you believe this?!?!?!?
I know --- CRAZY!

Meeting Chloe and Caroline

Berklie got to meet Little Miss Chloe and Little Miss Caroline today. You certainly would think Berklie is normal size until you compare her to these two little petite ladies. They are little dolls - you could absolutely eat them up! PRECIOUS - in a good way (Barb, wink wink!) So, Berklie had fun, while Aunt Barbara and I were getting stuff ready to take the girls pictures for their birth announcement. Look at what happened......

Here she is eating lunch in one of the girl's highchairs.
Then as we were in the girl's room I heard Berklie in the dining room getting into something.
I told Barb, "I bet she has pulled everything out of her diaper bag. "
So, we walk in and sure enough she has stuff out of it, and she has her snack jar in her hands.
I said to Barb, "Watch her she is about to open that!"
Well....she did! With her teeth! Yep, she took the cap and popped it right off with her teeth!
She must be mine and Flint's child, because unfortunately we both do that on occasion.
Barbara laughed and said, "Man, she is smart."
I agree and sometimes way to smart for her own good!
Below is her in action!

Yes, this mess was on Barbara's just cleaned floors!

Leave it to my child to mess something up!

"Uh, oh! You caught me!"
She knows she is about to get a talking to....lol!
As much talking as you can tell an 11 month old!

Here Berklie is with Chloe and Caroline.
You can't really tell how little they are compared to her, but it had to be a quick pic.
She really liked them, she just smiled and waved...then she got brave and wanted to touch them.
Then mama said, "Berklie Faith, there will be none of that Little Missy!"
She really was good with them though...I think she might have been a little jealous because they got a lot of her mama's attention!
Uh-oh, I might be in some trouble!
Thank you, Mimi, for the adorable bow! Although, Berklie did destroyed it shortly after, but I think I can fix it! Fingers crossed!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Happy father's day to all of the father's in our lives - Flint, Dad, Larry, Joseph, Thomas, Brad, Lance, and all of the many others. We had a really good Father's Day. We woke up and I cooked french toast for everyone, then we laid around for a little bit and got ready to go cook lunch out at my in-laws. Once we ate and visited for a while we went to see MeMaw for a bit, then took the kids home, and drove back to Terrell. Nothing too exciting, but it was just right. Simply because we got to spend time together - a rare commodity these days! Flint, got a cute card from Hailey, one from me and Berklie, and then we all got him a shirt, shorts, and a pair of flip-flops. He seemed to like everything pretty well.

I didn't get to see my Dad, but I will this coming weekend - he had a delightful trip into Love Field today where a "suspicious bag" was left in a terminal and the entire airport was on lock down for a while. Now that is an eventful day! Mom stuck it out and waited on him though and they are both safe back in Oakwood now.

Of course I had all intentions of getting a picture of Berklie with her Daddy on Father's Day, just like the intention I had on Mother's Day to get a picture of us together - yet neither of these seemed to happen! Crazy! I did get a couple of cute pictures of her throughout the day though. Here they are!

This is a ball from the toy that her Mimi bought her.
Thanks, Mom, she really loves her toy!

"Hey, little girl, can I pet your doggy?"
This might just be one of my favorite pictures of her to date...yes...yes I know I have said this before, but this one really is.....well maybe!
I thought she looked so adorable.
Just like she was about to start up a conversation or something!

Here she is helping me water the flowers in her snugglie. She loves that thing - and so do I!
It is the only thing that keeps her contained anymore!
Look how long her legs are!

"Happy Father's Day, Daddy! We love you!"

Palying with Lil' Big Sis

Here are Hailey and Berklie playing in the pool tonight. They had a lot of fun! There are some really cute pictures of them together. Enjoy!

The water was really cold.

Does she not look adorable here? She looks just like her daddy!

She always has something in her mouth.
I'll be really glad when all of her teeth come in!

She loves to splash.

This one is probably one of my favs - she has such a look of joy on her little face.

Her signature move!
She was trying to get some water.

"Momma, do you want this?"

"Really you can have it."

"Ok, then I'll keep it."

This is what I imagine her saying with this expression on her face when she is older -
"No way - are you serious?!?!"

Little doll!

Hailey and Berklie playing together was so cute.
This little series of pictures show how cute it was.

This is what she does now when we say,
"Yea, Berklie!"
It is super adorable!

I love these two!
They look so involved in what each other are saying and doing.
Hailey is such a good big sister!

These last two are my absolute favorites - minus the boogie! LOL!
When I was taking the pics I thought it was a drop of water - who knew?!?!?!
They are still precious though!

"Muah! I love you, Momma!"

My BUDDY!

Well, on Sunday we got a great surprise! My mom called and said that they were bringing stuff over for lunch! My sister and her baby were visiting them from Houston, so they all loaded up and came to Terrell. My other sister Vickie drove over from Ferries, too. We all had so much fun! Needless to say, my brother and his family couldn't join us - due to them relocating farther SOUTH.
Lunch was wonderful! Dad grilled steaks, squash, and zucchini, mom fixed mac-n-cheese and sopaipilla cheesecake :-)~, I fixed a salad and beer bread - amazing! We had a great time visiting with one another and watching the little ones play. I really wished we all lived closer, but when we do get to see each other it makes for a great time!

Thanks Mom and Dad for lunch it was fabulous! I enjoyed getting to spend time with everyone! You guys are the best! How did I get so lucky?!?!?!?!

See our fun day below!

Here they are!

Berklie is being friendly and showing cousin Brayden her toy...

then she had about enough of that and pushed him out of the way!
Big bully!

Handsome man Brayden!

Berklie's first skinny dip!
The giraffe is appropriately placed!
LOL!

Dad grillin' the steaks!

Berklie with her Aunt Amby!

Brayden with his Aunt Vickie!

Ok, so Berklie does this all the time when she is on her expeditions at home, so I guess she just had to show Brayden how cool it is!

She showed him and then off he went.
He looks very determined!

"Keep going....your almost there!"

"Here I go. Are you ready, Momma?"

"You getting this?"

"Ok, now I have to go back to make it official!"

Amby put Berklie's paci just out of Brayden's reach. He went around and around the coffee table trying to get it.
Torture to a little kid....entertainment to adults.
I know - we are awful!

Here are the two little vultures trying to get something to eat from Papa.

Hanging out together.
They didn't care for this too much - I guess because they couldn't get at one another.

Look how sweet they are!
Don't you wish they could stay this size forever!?!?!?!

Best Buddies!
