Christmas Parade

Today was the Christmas parade in Quinlan, and the Special Olympics always has a float in it. This year the parade theme was "A Candy Coated Christmas". The kids helped us with the decorations and organizing it as well. They did a great job and our float came in 2nd in our category! I absolutely love my kiddos and the people I work with. They all make it easier to get up and go to work each morning! We start Special Olympics Basketball this year and the kids are really excited! We have already competed in bowling, and the kids did great! We do track and field in the spring, too! Enjoy the pics and Merry Christmas!!!!

The stocking we made for the front.

Gumdrops and a lolli pop that the kids helped make.

About to get started.

Wave kiddos!

Hailey and Ethan...can you tell they're siblings?

Kevin and Mac.
They are some characters!

Me and Miss Skye.

This is the banner that Sue and I walked with in front of the truck along the parade route.
We painted it and everything! Can you tell we were proud of it?!?!
I have no clue why the kids are not smiling....other than it was freezing at this point!

A better shot of the banner.

Side shot, We had a Santa, rocking chair, fire place, a tree, and of course decorations to boot!
