A Night Out on the Town

This past Sunday, Vickie, Kaytlin, Lexi, and I went to see the musical HAIRSPRAY. First, we had to make a stop at the CHEESECAKE FACTORY!!!! YUMMIE! We got all pretty in our fancy dresses and had a blast. As all of you know I love to dress up, although 9 months pregnant in 3 inch heels was not very fun! I never thought I would say that. :-( We want to make a night out to a play or musical an annual thing -FUN! If anyone else is up for it let me know!

Kaytlin (my niece), Vickie (my sister), Me (preggo), and Lexi (my step-daughter)

Both of the pictures were taken at the end of the night, so we weren't as fresh!
Still looking good though!

The last sonogram

On June 24th we had our last sonogram to see if she was head down or not. Well, thankfully she did turn and is head down now. She is too big for all of her body to be in the pictures, so I just have face shots. I think she looks just like Flint, but everyone says she has my profile which we will see soon enough. After my sonogram we went to the doctor, and she checked everything out - she told us that she was certainly head down and extremely low! The questions was asked if I would make it until August and she said no. So, Bitty Girl will be here sooner than we thought. Bitty Girl got pretty mad at the sono guy during the session! She had her hands in front of her face and she started swatting at him when he was rolling the thing over her face. It was so funny! Then it was so cool when she opened her eyes and at one point she yawned! It was amazing!

I am 35 weeks and now on a weekly visit schedule to the doctor. We had an appointment yesterday and the doctor said she is still head down and even lower than before. Dr. Gillean said that she is very long and lanky and by the time she gets here she should weigh between 8 to 8.5 pounds. Which is fine with me - at least she is not going to be 9 or 10 pounds!!! Flint asked what the possibilities were that she would be here before July 19 and she said about a 50/50 chance. He will be out of town in Houston the 12th through the 19th, that was the reason for asking. I am terrified that he will be gone and not make it, but hopefully she will hold out until her daddy gets home. She said that she thought it would probably be that week after the 19th. She also thought she would be able to see some changes in the next couple of weeks as far as my cervix thinning and stuff like that, so not to travel too far away. Anyways, enough about all of that stuff and here are some pictures of our little angel! In the second picture you can tell that her eye is opened.
Talk with you all soon!

Family Shower

My sisters, aunts, and sister-in-law threw another shower for the Bitty Girl, and once again she racked up. She got even more spoiled at this shower than before! We had tons of food, cute decorations, and lots of fun. It was great to see everyone and get to catch up. Her Mi-Mi and Grandma were there and lots of aunts, cousins, and friends that she will soon get to meet. Here is a picture of all of her gifts, and I will have some more pictures of the decorations and stuff soon. I just want to thank everyone for coming and a special thanks to Vickie, Amby, Jenny, Sissy, and Pennie for throwing the shower for us. We are so blessed to have a wonderful family! Thank you guys for her stroller and car seat too - it was way too much but much appreciated! We love you, and I can not wait for Bitty Girl to meet you all!

Her 1st shower!

Well, "Bitty Girl" had her first shower today, and man - did she make out with some great stuff!!!! We will just say that yes - she is spoiled already! The ladies at school threw a shower for us and it was so nice. There were a ton people there and we had such a good time. She has a lot of new outfits, bath supplies, blankets, and toys - all of which I am sure will be put to good use.

To all my friends at school "THANK YOU!" Our family certainly is blessed to have you all in our lives. I can not wait for her to meet you all! Here are some pictures of her gifts, and I will have some more pictures of the festivities coming soon. I forgot to take my camera, so I have to get Sally to either print some for me or email them to me. Talk with you all soon!

This is most of the gifts that we got today.
We had a lot of gift cards as well, which more than likely will go to diapers or formula!!!!
(To enlarge the pictures double click on them.)

This was one of the center pieces on the table at the shower.
I thought it was so cute! I might put a little ivy or something in it
and put it on a shelf in her room.

Getting Closer!!!

I am now 30 weeks and 2 days along and the due date is quickly approaching! This past Memorial Day weekend I was what they call "nesting". I cleaned the entire house, washed curtains, bought her furniture for her room, bedding for her crib and Alexi and Hailey's bed that will stay in her room. We also decided on a first name, although her middle name is still up in the air for now. Flint and I have decided to that we want to keep it a surprise until she gets here. Although he thinks, that I am going to spill the beans - I am NOT going to budge though! Mom has already grilled me and I was strong! It was hard but I did it!
I am posting some pictures of her furniture that we got off of Craig's List for a great price and the bedding that we got new off of eBay. We were excited because it is high quality furniture that we would have not bought nor could have afforded new. LOL! It is in great condition and I was so happy that we found something we like. At all the stores we were disappointed with the quality of all the cribs. I had some other bedding picked out, but when I saw the one on eBay I feel in LOVE! Not to mention, that it comes with a lot more stuff for a better price than anything else we found in the stores or on the internet. It was amazing - I had never bidded on eBay before, but it was really neat and somewhat addiciting. My husband is a bidding mastermind - if I had done it on my own I would not have won!
Sorry, no pictures of my growing belly - I will get some up soon. Talk with you all soon and have a great rest of the week!

For some reason it is not letting me post the picture of her crib. I will try to post it at a later time with some of the other post.

24 weeks & counting!

Here I am with Kristin. I am 24 weeks (a week into my sixth month) and she only has 4 weeks to go before her "Little Man" Parker gets here! I wish I was her! I can not wait to see how cute and how lovable "Bitty Girl" will be. Holding and loving on Brayden last week made me even more anxious for her to arrive. This picture was taken after a long drive from Dallas to Houston, breakfast, a stop at Sam Moon (fun!), lunch, hugs & kisses to Brayden, dinner, and a haircut! It had been a very fun, but a very long day.

Hopefully that explains why I look the way I do in the picture!!
Try not to laugh too hard. Don't forget the hormones of a pregnant lady are like a roller coaster and I am sure if I heard you laughing I would start crying! LOL!

Talk with you all soon! Love ~ Remica & "Bitty Girl"

Adorable Nephew!

Here are some pictures of my beautiful new nephew - Brayden Samuel, born on April 7, weighing 8 lbs. and 19 inches long. He is an absolute doll! He and "Bitty Girl" are going to be best friends!

I love this one - he looks like an angel!

Here he is with his "Aunt Monkey" (as Gehrig calls me!)

With the mohawk that his cousin Kaytlin gave him! Too cute!

This is Gehrig - my other absolutely adorable nephew!

About to go home from the hospital with mommy.

Here with daddy.

Me and the handsome little man again.
